subject: Indianapolis Kia Dealers Benefit From Company's Strong May [print this page]

Kia is thriving in the U.SKia is thriving in the U.S. auto market. Apparently we have finally embraced this Asian brand that we were a bit leery of only a decade ago. Kia Motors announced that is had the best May sales ever with 31,431 units. This is more than a 20 percent increase over May 2009 and even surpasses the previous sales record set in May 2008 with 31,047.

Indianapolis Kia dealers are also excited that the all-new Sorento has year-to-date sales which are up 14.6 percent and it was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Sorento had sales of 8,166 units, the compact Forte a record 7,299 and the Soul urban passenger vehicle 6,134.

Group President and CEO of Kia stated, Mays record-breaking sales results were once again led by Sorento, which is a clear indication that its combination of distinctive design and standout modern technology features is attracting new consumers to the Kia brand. As if thats not complement enough, he adds, Our continued brand growth in the U.S. supports an aggressive launch schedule of several all new, dramatically styled Kia vehicles that will build on eye-catching models such as Sorento, Soul and Forte that have created emotional connections with consumers.

Indianapolis used car buyers have many choices among Kia models. Many have been rated high in safety and fuel economy tests and with the increase in popularity in the U.S. market they likely will entice some new customers to check them out.

Kia Motors has virtually transformed itself, introducing three vehicles this year and upgrading the quality, safety and designs while maintaining value for its customers. Indianapolis Kia dealers are looking forward to even more technological innovations like UVO powered by Microsoft, which is a hands-free communication and entertainment system. It is available on select Kia models this summer.

Kia Motors Corporation is based in Seoul, South Korea and has more than 670 dealers in the U.S. The companys market share has increased in the United States for 15 years in a row, making it a real contender in an auto market where many have become disgusted with the business practices of domestic auto makers and lost faith in their quality of production.

For Indianapolis used car buyers, the Kia models offer many choices, price ranges and top safety and technology features. With the addition of the hands-free communication and entertainment system, Kia will be competitive with the more upscale U.S. and European models but with a much more affordable price tag.

With record sales in May, the new summer models and a growing reputation for quality, innovation and safety, my prediction is that Kia will be a top name in the U.S. car market all-around within the next few years.
