subject: How Do You Change Your Perception Of Your Body [print this page] So you're looking in the mirror and you're dissatisfied with the figure before you. You look at your thighs and wish they were free of cellulite. You look at your waistline and wish that there was one. You look at rolls of flesh and wish that you were not seeing double or even triple of them. You look in the mirror and confidence, happiness, and satisfaction are not your subsequent experience. So what do you do to change this?
Well as stated by David Icke, "If you want to change your hair you don't comb the mirror." In other words, changing your perception of how you look is an inside job. You have to change yourself. By changing yourself I mean you have to bring the current image of you into alignment with the desired image of you. See the present you exactly as you want the future you to look and know that time is only an illusion. Yes, time is an illusion. Ask any scientist and they will tell you that time is merely a concept used to sequence events. They will also tell you that perception is simply a description of what the eyes see and transmit to the brain. An even simpler explanation is that perception is the process of using the senses to experience the world. It is the brains interpretation of electrical signals.
So now you ask why is any of this important? Well, these linear, one-dimensional concepts of experience leave the multi-dimensional you with an abundance of options for changing that which is perception. It shows you that you are the author of the coded image of your body formed inside your brain. The data that you use to interpret this image is based on your beliefs. What are beliefs? Thoughts that you keep having over and over again. Now I know that this is a lot to take in and probably a bit overwhelmingly technical. However, though technical it is key to addressing the matter at hand, which is to change your perception of you.
So since time is the sequencing of events and perception is the interpretation of your beliefs about you, why not take the bull by the horns, so to speak? Use the power that is within you to manipulate both time and perception. Do this by forming thoughts and repeating those thoughts that you are the sexy, fabulous you that you want to be right now, at this very moment. Do this as many times as it takes to change your perception. Stop thinking about how dissatisfied you are with how you look. Regain control and redefine who you are and what you see. You are as alluring, charming and beautiful as you choose to be. Go ahead now and behave accordingly. Time has given you the gift of the present so accept it and use it to make your dreams your reality. Use it to change your perception.
