San Diego, CA - Boom Media, Inc., a trailblazing social media optimization and online marketing firm recently teamed up with Susan Whitman, author of the tragic, yet heartwarming real life story, The Match: Complete Strangers, a Miracle Transplant, Two Lives Transformed. Turns out, more than one significant match has come into fruition in the past year: one historic, victorious facial organ transplant donation and one booming business collaboration. The two teams strategically paired up in May 2010 to launch Whitman's novel, set to be released and hit shelves on October 12, 2010.

Whitman will be appearing on ABC Television Network on Thursday, August 12, speaking on behalf of the last episode of the eight-part series, Boston Med, which will feature the story and documentation of two remarkable men: Whitman's husband, Joseph Helfgot, who lost his life to a fatal heart transplant and James Maki, the overly gracious recipient of Helfgot's facial organ donation. "This is a story of triumph over tragedy," says Whitman. "It's an account of the last half-century, with all the dots along the way that have been connected to bring us to this one point."

Proud to take part in launching a story and courageous woman of such caliber, Boom Media has taken the initiative to respond to Whitman's request to reach the masses.
