Players that one year ago would have made diving catches are barely getting to the ball in time to make a play. This is the biggest sign that the team is suffering from a depleted pitching rotation as they have to put out a lot more effort in order to get the plays made.
The outfield is working overtime in order to ensure that the Yankees are in a position to continue winning games. They have worked harder this season than in the past. This also will end up affecting them when it comes time to bat.
