Use your judgment if they can be responsible once you'll give them a car.

Well, what more can I say. This thing is really necessary. This will be the most important thing your son or daughter can own during their college years. They can just do anything if they own a laptop; browse the web for important things about their subject, store assignments, take notes, talk to other people who can give help and practically anything. It's small; yet it's compact and powerful.
Smartphone or Cellphone
When in school you need do get connected with lots of people. Friends, instructors, landlords, family, etc. There will be important emails and you have to check Facebook or other networking site from time to time. Sometimes there's no wifi connection in the surrounding and Smart Phone has an internet capability. They are also great in recording important lectures.

These things are important to college students as it gives them an option to save files and important projects, research and stuffs throughout the semester. These are back up systems that are important to any student. You don't want to have all your files deleted if ever someone made pranks in your dorm or if there are any issues with electricity or laptop. Though printers are present in every corner of the school, your child will use so much time by going out just to print their important document. It's a hassle and tiresome process. Give them a gift that can save their precious time.

These things are not that important but they can provide great entertainment. Release and lessen your son's stress by giving him a game console so he can play games. iPod's are great for people who love music. Give them an outlet of stress because college is very stressful.
