subject: What Is A Front-End And A Back-End Offer? [print this page] About 97% of all home business owners don't know what a front-end and a back-end offer really is. The other 3% not only have a good understanding of it, but they actually use this concept everyday. These few individuals also happen to be the only people in the industry that make a six and seven-figure income. And what really gets me is that this is such a simple concept.
So, why doesn't 100% of all home business owners know this instead of just 3%? Well, it basically just comes down to one thing and that's lack of knowledge. Most people are going to do what their mentor or upline tells them to do when first starting out. In most cases, their mentor is not part of that top 3%. Their mentor is going to tell them to go out and sell their primary opportunity right up-front to every single prospect. This is where the problem lies.
By doing this, they're going to be putting a lot of time and money into advertising with either nothing or very little to show for it. They only have one source of income and that is their primary opportunity. Chances are they have more money going out than they do coming in. This ultimately results in failure in a very short period of time because they are selling their business on the front-end!
So, what is the typical home business owner suppose to do to solve this problem? This is where the front-end and back-end offer come into play. Instead of marketing their primary opportunity on the front-end they need to market it on the back-end. So, what does this mean? The front-end offer is going to be something that covers 100% of their advertising costs. While, the back-end offer is going to be their business. The front-end offer could be anything that pertains to their business or their industry and is usually a low-cost item. And a good front-end item is something that offers value to their prospects.
Their primary opportunity is where they are going to see profits from their sales. These sales are going to be 100% profit because their advertising costs are all covered by the front-end offer. Isn't this so easy to understand? This is the right way to market a home based business by far. So, congratulations! By reading this, you are now part of the top 3%. But, having this knowledge is not going to get you anywhere. Only applying it is going to make you successful in this industry.
