subject: Still Reaching For The Stars With Medical Transcription [print this page]

I am what many would call a late bloomerI am what many would call a late bloomer. I went to college right out of high school for a couple of years and couldn't figure out what it was that I wanted to do for a career. I then found jobs in other areas and married and had a family. At the age of 40 I went back to college to get my degree in accounting. I finished with my associates in accounting from a community college. I have been working in the accounting field ever since, but the last few years I have become very interested in the medical field. Not wanting to go back and get another degree I decided that getting a certificate in Medical Transcription and then working in that field would be challenging and also interesting. I also have a niece that works as work from home medical transcriptionist and makes very good money and enjoys her job and she has also has given me the encouragement to become a MT. I love to hear her and my daughter talk about their jobs and how much they enjoy them. That alone is enough motivation if you have the interest.

Working as a medical transcriptionist would give me the opportunity to work in the medical field plus the option to work from home and have my own business, (which is something I am also interested in). Since my daughter has gone back to school in the medical field it has given me more interest in learning and the medical field. Doing Medical Transcription at home would give me the flexibility I am seeking while still earning a living. Working from home would give me the opportunity to work in the comfort of my own home and be my own boss. I have worked for several companies over the years and am ready to work for myself. I have been researching starting my own business for some time now and am very interested in eventually starting my own MT business. Working in accounting has given me the background for my own business and now I have found the business I would like to start. SN:0TG9Y2ESY

Future MT seems to have a good MT program and affordable. I have been researching MT programs online and Future MT is at the top of the list and more affordable than some of the other programs. I like having time to finish the course and do my best and not be rushed through something. I have been looking at many MT programs and also checking the schools or companies with the BBB and Future MT has a very high rating. I like how Future MT's program is laid out and the extra help from an online mentor. That is a plus having someone to talk with and ask questions when needed. I like having the CD available to do exercises that challenge your abilities and thinking. This helps me get to where I want and need to be to become employable. My goal is to become a top of the line MT. To start with get a good education with a reputable school. Then get a good job working from home and work hard at becoming a top of the line MT and eventually starting my own MT business. I am old enough to appreciate hard work and diligence and am ready to move forward.
