subject: Pick A Embraer Legacy Jet For Your Charter [print this page]

A mid sized business jet describes the Embraer 600 Legacy, and it was formatted after the very successful Embraer 135/145 group of regional aircrafts. The seating ability can be between sixteen and thirty seven seats within the configuration for the Legacy. Traditional executive seating is the 16 seat arrangement found on aircraft that are business type. When moving up to 19 through 37 seating setup then the jet becomes more of a corporate shuttle. A Legacy 650 conforms closely to the 600 and the 135 but has more fuel capacity which gives it a longer range, and it has more current avionics onboard for the pilots.

This Legacy jet came along in the year 2000, becoming part of the Embraer Regional Jet family. Legacy has a basis on the 37 seat Embraer 135 airframe with some modifications including the addition of winglets, a higher ceiling and higher fuel capacity. It can cruise at up to 41,000 feet carrying 16 people for up to 3400 nautical miles. Available cruising airspeed is Mach 0.80 which is similar to any jet flying commercial, and it can take off in a very short space, runways as short as 5800 feet. This short field ability makes it able to function in many more airports that are closer to the business area than a traditional airport. Other nice amenities are that there is 1650 cubic feet of space which allows for a full size bathroom and six feet of head room. Trips the jet is capable of include going from Sao Paulo to Cape Town, New York to both Los Angeles and London, and Paris to Dubai.

Typical uses for this type of aircraft are for high-frequency corporate trips over relatively large distances. Operators of this aircraft could be of several different backgrounds, ranging from an individual using the aircraft for personal reasons up to a multi-national corporation requiring transportation over long distances on a regular basis.

There are numerous charter companies throughout the world offering Embraer aircraft including the Legacy for charter. Charter fees for a Legacy vary by location, but a typical cost could be between $4,000 and $6,000 per hour of operation. Note that these fees do not include ramp fees, fuel surcharges, taxes or other fees.

When you charter the Embraer Legacy you are getting a capable, well crafted jet that can go into lots of popular airports all over the planet. Through time it has garnered a great reputation for easy operation and being reliable, which makes it one of the markets most successful mid size aircraft presently.
