subject: Sweet Little Talulah Was One Of The Many Entrants In Pup Idol Contest [print this page]

At just a few weeks old, Husky puppy Talulah was entered into the Sun's Pup Idol contest that was held online with the hopes of taking home a year's supply of dog food for being the favourite pup chosen by thousands of online winners.

Pets at Home was offering the top prize in the contest that featured new puppies each week striking their best pose for their chance to get their paws around the prize, by warming the hearts of readers from all across the UK. Even though the voting is now long over, you can still check out the adorable puppies by logging online and looking at the photos on the Sun website.

The Husky is a hearty breed used as a sled dog. Huskies are known for having beautiful, and different coloured, eyes. With thick fur to protect them from harsh and cold weather, the Husky is at home living in areas that experience long and cold winters. Their thick coats not only protect them from sub-freezing temperatures, but it also protects them against heat during the summer months. Great with kids and forever loyal to their owners, the Husky is a popular breed in the UK as well as in the United States and Canada.

Tens of thousands of readers voted in the contest which resulted in 120 pups making it into the final round of voting. In the end, Black Labrador Skye won the hearts of the voters and claimed the top prize of a year's supply of food provided by Pets at Home. Skye's owners Dave and Karen from Waddington, Lincoln are proud of their cute pooch whom they purchased shortly after losing another dog they had owned for years. You can see Talulah and Skye by checking out the photos on the Sun website. So until the next Pup Idol contest, congrats to the winner and good luck to all of you new puppy owners out there!
