subject: High Voltage Evaluation Board Ideal For Dmc Systems [print this page] Toronto, Canada GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) recommends its high voltage evaluation board designed for high performance digital motor control (DMC) systems. It has a smart design based on Texas Instruments TMS320F2812 DSP and uses an IPM module to protect the board from over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-heating. This high voltage evaluation board is commonly used in applications such as digital motor or machine control, packing mechanisms, UPS, VFC (variable frequency control) and electrical control. It forms a part of a fast servo motor solution when combined with an EVM2812 board containing the DSP and an IB2812 board serving as the interface.
The high voltage evaluation board, model MCK2812, provides an on-board 60W rebounding power switch to safely deliver high current. It directly connects with one or two DC brush/brushless servomotors, AC asynchronous motors, AC permanent-magnet synchronous servomotors and/or stepper motors to form a digital servo motion control system. The practical evaluation board offers a Hall Effect sensor to ensure the accuracy and isolation of current sampling and has 8 channels of isolated output to meet basic requirements for power supply. This board includes a standard RS232 port and a CAN communication interface for data exchange.
