Wireless weather stations are devices that contain mechanisms to note the data required to forecast the weather, and a microchip to interpret the information and a variety of styles of presentation display to explain the ensuing weather forecast. The instrument will incorporate thermometers to measure inside and outdoor temperature, a rain gauge to calculate amount of rainfall, a barometer to measure barometric pressure, a hygrometer to determine...more
It is important to know what the weather is like, especially what the temperature is outside to decide on what to wear, and inside to determine how warm a home should be for comfort. Technology today allows us to monitor the temperatures of both inside and outside with just one tool and not need to go outside on a cold day with a thermometer to quickly check the temperature. Wireless thermometers are becoming prevalent today and that creates an...more
Author: CharlieA general misconception among people about wireless CCTV systems is that the transmitters and the receivers must be in the same line of sight for maximum effectiveness. This is just a notion, and there is no such necessity that they should be placed in the same line of sight. However, what does matter is the kind of materials that come in between both. The kind of material serving as the concealment housing for the CCTV camera can affect the range. For instance, plastic and wood are RF transparent and does not bring about any considerable difference in the range. However, metal on the other hand can interfere with the transmission of the wireless signals so try not to conceal the cameras behind any metal housing or objects. In case you are forced to, at least make sure that the antenna is exposed enough for unhindered transmission. For better range, also try using a high gain antenna or a repeater. High gain antennas help to convert the weak signals to strong signals. Repeaters can also be very helpful if there are huge obstructions in the path of the receiver and the transmitter. Also, make sure that while buying your CCTV systems, you don’t go for the cheap...more
