The Blackberrys Research in Motion has supplied this model with Blackberrys 6th version Operating System
. The smart phone ranks high on memory quotient with an internal memory of 4 GB with hot swappable micro SD card and further expandable up to 32 GB. This BlackBerry model measures 111 x 62 x 14.6 mm, which apparently cannot be termed as compact by current standards. The camera is also an upgrade to a 5 megapixel primary camera with auto focus, LED Flash and features like Geo-tagging and image stabilization. The snaps still do not look as sharp as the ones in Blackberry Bold 9780. The video quality is also pretty impressive due to continuous auto focus and VGA@24fps. Not having a secondary camera hurts a little though.
The screen is a shiny 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen (no clicks needed) with optical trackpad, multi-touch input method and proximity sensor for auto turn-off. The phone seems to be on a heavier side and yet does not make it any less desirable. The functions in this model seem to be too much to eat in a platter and you may find it tedious to even change a ringtone or set an alarm. There may be a little glitch in its operation as its not that smooth. It comes with a built-in GPS with preloaded BlackBerry maps.
The company made it quite useful for high end users without disappointing the conventional Blackberry corporate users. Something which corporate users might not find favorable is that one can view but cannot edit documents unless you get a paid upgrade. You will not find a web browser Flash support nor FM radio and neither email support without Internet service provider. Also, unless unselected in the settings, the phone keeps detecting wifi and severely consumes battery. The phone surprisingly also does not come with a case, which is not usual for Blackberry. The phone box in whole contains a polishing cloth, in-box holster, 4 GB memory card, a below average one-piece headset, Blackberry charger and micro USB cable. The bodys durability is bit of a concern and hence at UK online phone shop we give it 7 out of 10.
