Motorola Milestone 2 An All Rounder Android Phone

The Motorola team quite adamantly developed this touch and QWERTY phone to provide the best of both worlds

. As a matter of fact, there is a stiff competition in this vertical with companies like HTC and Blackberry offering their own USPs.

The android Phone, Milestone 2 is an attractive sequel of original Milestone and runs on Android Os v2.2 (froyo). It looks slimmer and 3.7 inch touch screen (with WGVA resolution) covers most of the front part along with the conventional four touch sensitive android buttons. It is made up of scratch resistant Gorilla glass. The body is mostly made up of metal to give it a weighty look and solid craft. The rubber coating at the derriere gives it a nice grip. The keyboard also seems to be perfect with one of the slimmest QWERTY side slider with backlit keys. The only keyboard up gradation in this model from its predecessor is the introduction of four directional keys and an OK button for confirmation. This indeed adds up to the keyboard space.

At the top edge is a neatly placed 3.5 mm audio jack with screen-lock and power button. On the right side rests the micro-USB port and the volume switch. The left side is rather cleaner while having a white charging notification light only. Along with a 1400 mAh battery, the phone comes with an internal 8GB memory which unfortunately, is only for apps storage. It has some rather really cool features like voice dialing and active voice cancellation through a dedicated mic. Although, the model does not have a secondary camera but, the primary one is pretty impressive. The model has a 5 MP camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash. It also, has features like geo-tagging, face detection and touch focus only to make clicking easier and better. Video quality is better than average. The browsing on the other hand is found to be slower as compared to HTC Desire Z but the keyboard quality makes it up for that. The added features in this model are quad band GSM, dual band 3G HSDPA, accelerometer, proximity sensor, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR with A2DP, GPS receiver and electronic compass.
