10 Ways to Avoid The Flu Without Getting a Flu Shot
Many smart Americans are deciding not to get the flu shot this year
. They have read all of the studies and information that prove that not only do flu shots not prevent the flu or make you healthy but for many (especially children and the elderly) it does just the opposite and actually weakens your immune system.
Did you know that 70 percent of doctors and nurses along with 62% of other health care providers do NOT get the yearly flu shot? The three main reasons given for opting out were they didn't believe the vaccine worked, they thought their immune system was strong enough to ward of any exposure to the flu and they were concerned about the side effects of which one is fear of the ingestion of the 25mg of mercury that is contained in the flu vaccine.
Less than 2,000 people a year die from the flu. So honestly, I don't get what all the fuss is about and frankly I'm concerned about the mass media blitz to put the fear of god into an otherwise savvy American population. The best defense against the flu is good basic health. With every practice from the list below that you can implement your chances of contracting the flu decrease.
Avoid sugar especially fruit juice (bad bacteria loves and grows by eating sugar)
