Got to any gym and you'll find the majority of guys in there working away on one muscle group after the other in pursuit of building muscle mass. They run from the back machine to the curl machine, to the barbell machine for some shoulder presses, etc. These guys don't miss anything. The problem is they're missing everything! Call me old school, but there are only 3 basic mass building exercises that you should be concentrating on. Yes, just three. In fact, you can do only these 3 exercises and you will gain more muscle mass and get stronger than those guys in the gym playing hot potato with the exercise equipment. What are these 3 exercises? Squats Bench Presses Bent Rows The above three are all you need. Let's go over each one in a little more detail Squats - this exercise will work your entire leg muscles. Better yet, it does such a good job of hammering your system that it forces your whole body to grow. Yes, if all you did was squats you would still find your upper body getting stronger and bigger as a result. Bench Presses - this exercise is known to hit the chest, but it actually does a whole lot more. It hits the shoulders, triceps and increases core strength as a result of your body balancing the weight. Bent Rows - this exercise will also force your entire body to grow - not just the back. You will hit the upper back, lower back, biceps, forearms and rear shoulder muscles. The above are all power exercises. Just doing these exercises on a consistent basis (once or twice a week) will get you stronger and more massive than worrying about working every machine that sits on your gym's floor.About the Author:
