3 Reasons Why Online Backup Will Become The De Facto Standard

Online backup (or sometimes also called off-site or remote backup) has in the past few years grown tremendously in popularity

3.The security of your data is guaranteed by military type encryption that makes your data unreadable to any intruder. Only those in possession of the encryption password can retrieve the data. Think about the risk if your computer is stolen and the data becomes available unknown persons who could use it for unlawful purposes. Further security is provided by normally replicating the backed up data to two separate data centres in different cities "" even sometimes situated in different countries. If anything happens to one of the data centres, there are backups available to the already backed up data.

As the already very reasonable and competitive cost of online storage is lowered over time and Internet speeds increase, I cannot see any other form of backup that can compete with the advantages of online backup. This is why I can state with full confidence that online backup will become the de facto standard in the future.
