If you however, refuse to give them what they are searching for, and opt to persuade them to try something else you're selling, then expect them to troop to your competitor to find what they are looking for. The formula is simple.

b. Be the provider for the item that satisfies the need

c. They will always come back to you for the fulfillment of this need

d. They may even refer some of their friends to you should they also have the same need.

The bottom line - always provide the solution. Find ways, if it gets a bit difficult. If you really can't find someone who can provide the solution, and act as the middleman. This way, both you and your "suppler" win in the long run.

Give unique service. Okay, so you provide excellent service - but so do all of your competitors. So what must you do? Simple - do something to make your service unique - in a way which is no way like what your competitors are doing. Your goal in business is to avoid being a copycat, so try to package your business in a manner which is not a copy of what your counterparts are doing. Once you do this, this becomes your edge over the others.


You are unique - maybe out of the norm, but definitely different. Slowly, you will find curious customers having a desire to try the unordinary. Now your goal is to give them something worth coming back for. Quality + uniqueness = more business.

Offer excellent customer service. If you want your clients to keep coming back for more then there is one sure formula - offer the best customer experience they can ever find. Why? Because nothing encourages a customer more to re-visit their trusted businesses than customer service that makes them feel important. It's like they are assured of solutions to their problems. In layman's terms, it's like giving a depressed person a shoulder to cry on.

It's these small things that endear you to your customer. Remember this - a customer will most likely patronize a good product sold by people with excellent customer service, than a super-duper excellent product sold by people with poor, or almost no customer support. To be made to feel important is a very basic human need which helps both the mind and the wallet decide.
