3 Ways To Boost Your Computer
Let's face it - when we buy our computers, we expect them to be fast and efficient! However
, over the course of months, our computers can get bogged down due to many reasons i.e. family activity, work projects, downloading content from the internet etc. Although there are many different reasons why this happens, there are three easy ways to boost your computer and get it back to the speed that it was at when you first brought it home.
1) Cleansing it of viruses
Clean your computer of any spyware or viruses that may exist on it. Many them can go undetected as they run silently in the background. In addition, when you have many spyware programs on one computer (and many people do), they usually run at the same time which can grind your operating system to a halt. The easiest way to fix this problem is to clean your system by running an anti-spyware program. It'll make your computer faster and provide a level of security to both the computer and your state of mind.
2) Adding Memory
Many of the average technology consumers don't know this but there's a reason why there are many deals and computers seem to be relatively cheap: because computer manufacturers are frugal with memory and add very little to each computer they produce. In actuality, most computers are deficient in the amount of memory that they really need to run smoothly and efficiently. Purchase a chip of memory - it's easy to install - and see how much faster your computer becomes.
3) Deleting unused programs
I know of a person who as of 8 months ago, still had Napster and the 1st addition of Lime Wire on his computer. Some people can't let go of things and that can add to clutter. Think of your computer as your closet that you need to spring clean every once in a while. Go through you computer regularly and delete programs you haven't used for 6 months and beyond. Always update your computer with new software, and ditch programs that are considered technologically out of date.
In conclusion, although this may take a little bit of time on your part, remember that your computer is your lively hood in this day and age and with anything of importance to you, needs some attention and some good ol' tender lovin' care. These 3 easy ways to boost your computer can and will make it brand new again!
