New research into the cause and treatment of Alzheimer's Disease by Dr Lipaf Aslooy has drawn the conclusion that playing the new Nintendo 3DS console for just 30 minutes a day can help the sufferers of the condition hold onto memories and helps reduce the chance of contracting the disease by as much as 30%.
The new technology behind the working of the 3D in the console is an Autostereoscopic screen which has two images, slightly different, placed a small distance apart on the screen. The screen itself contains small barriers that when viewed straight on give the user the illusion of 3D as the eyes can only see one of the images at a time. The research, which was carried out at the university, concludes that looking at the screen for as little as 30 minutes a day stimulates the Prefrontal Cortex of the brain which controls memory creation and the storage of memories. This new research is a big step in the Health Services attempt to fight the condition and help those who are afflicted with it cope. Other research has shown that the 3D may also be able to reduce the size of brain tumours if certain colour combinations are placed on the screen as this also stimulates brain activity depending on what colour combinations are placed (such as blue on the right eye and magenta on the left, which stimulates the Central Diencephalon.
The research team at the University of Atlantis has been working round the clock and has set up many future experiments to continue the findings.
"It has been very interesting and informative working with the new console" says Dr Lipaf Aslooy, "It seems to have many uses and it might be one of the biggest things to happen to our generation!"
Other research parties have been looking at its uses in the home as some think that the 3D in the screen may have many untapped uses that could revolutionize our life as we know it. As you dont need glasses to use it, it has been labeled by some as other worldy technology with the church of scientology taking it as a sign that their god is sending them a signal that the judgement is coming soon.
Whatever they say this console is unbeleaveably powerful and innovative, and with talk of NASA using one to power the next probe launch into space it seems that there is no end to its uses.
