4 Tips for Efficient Weight Loss

A well organized weight loss program consists of many variables. Well organized or efficient weight loss means to lose weight in a way that is quick but planned out. To lose weight quick there are a couple of things you must always remember to do.

Get plenty of sleep. There is a direct correlation between not getting 7-8 hours of sleep of night and weight gain.

Also, limit alcohol intake. Alcohol contains "empty calories." Whether it be a pint of beer, a mixed liquor drink or a glass of wine, they all have calories in them with no nutritional value. There has been evidence to support that a single glass of red wine a night is good for your heart but don't forget to count in the calories.

Let's look at four tips for efficient weight loss.

1. Keep a journal.

In this journal, start out by writing all your goals and the time frame you wants to lose the weight in. If it's a week then the diet is different than if it's a month. But let's just look at the most efficient way for losing weight. Also in this journal make sure you write down what you eat every day, your activity for that day and how much you weigh. This will keep you on track.

2. Drink lots of water.

Every day drink 8-10 glasses of water. This will keep your body rid of toxins and keep you flushed out. It also helps in keeping you feeling full so that you will eat less.

3. Cut out all carbohydrates but leafy green vegetables.

This is a tough one. We all love our carbohydrates; from pizza to bread to rice, we love carbohydrates. They give us energy and fill us up. But they also store as fat when we eat too many of them. Eat vegetables to get your carbohydrate source. Instead of carbohydrates, eat lots of protein; particularly lean protein. Try to limit your meals to 400 calories per meal.

4. Maintain or add an activity or exercise.

Walking, biking or going to the gym are great activities. Also, many find good exercise programs with their Wii's. Regardless of which you choose to do, maintain the activity for at least 20 minutes four times a week. Record your results and what you do in your journal. Notice how you can go farther and farther and longer and longer with easy passing week.

If you follow these tips you will efficiently lose weight. It is an adjustment at first but once the weight starts falling off you will find yourself encouraged and it will be much easier to stay with it.
