4 Ways To Get Fit Without Spending A Fortune
Although you may think weight loss is something that brings with it the need for
a particularly large bank balance, the truth is that it can be carried out relatively cheaply by abiding by 4 separate points.
1. Grab yourself a free gym pass - one of the easiest ways to increase your fitness levels is to go to a gym regularly, but with a membership often costing in excess of 40 pounds a month, they aren't a financially viable option for some.
However, if you spend the time looking around the internet for deals and offers, you're likely to be able to pick up a completely free gym pass sooner or later, as surprisingly; they're in somewhat of abundance.
The passes may not allow you exactly the same usage of the gym as if you were paying for an annual membership, but chances are you'll be able to use the pass to attend the gym for several weeks free of charge.
2. Take up walking - if you're struggling to find the time to fit in an hour at the gym every day, consider taking up walking as it's something that most will be able to do with just a little reorganising of their daily schedule.
For instance, when you head to work, it's likely that you either get in your car and park in the car park closest to your office or you jump on the bus at the stop that's closest to your house before getting off at the one that's outside of your work.
Set off 10 minutes earlier than you normally would on a morning, however and you'll be able to walk to the next bus stop along and get off at one further away from your work.
By taking up walking, you don't have to go out into the country, setting aside full mornings; it simply requires for you to look at your normal, daily tasks and adjust them slightly to incorporate a greater level of walking into them.
3. Ditch the junk food - although it can be tempting to treat yourself after work on a Friday and Saturday evening by getting a takeaway, but have yourself, for instance, a doner kebab and you'll be looking at piling on around 1,000 calories - half of what a woman is recommended to consume on a daily basis - according to an article in the Daily Mail on 28 January 2009
Although treats are fine on occasion, try and prepare them yourself - a homemade curry will generally be a lot healthier than a shop bought one and although it takes a little longer to prepare and cook, you can make it exactly how you like it.
4. Be creative with basic foods - the healthiest foods to eat are generally those that are the plainest individually, such as rice, pasta and vegetables.
Combine them together and add a few spices, however and you've got yourself a particularly delicious yet healthy meal.
You don't have to be a mastermind in the kitchen, either - just combine some foods together and see what works for you.
