its active key fob RFID tag which is well suited for personnel tracking and access control application, vehicle identification, or for use in applications where keys need to be tracked, such as in prisons, hospitals and government offices. This compact key fob tag is also especially suited for safety applications in dangerous industrial and construction environments where it can be used both as a tracking device and as a distress-signaling device in case of emergency situations.

This 433MHz compact active key fob RFID tag, model 124014, features configurable settings for Site/Vendor ID, tag ID and transmission repetition interval. The tag transmits Customer Site Code (CSC), tag ID, tag age counter value and alarm status. It can also operate in silent mode with transmission only occurring upon the press of the button. Each button press transaction will either be logged when it is out of range or be reported immediately when it is within the read range. This active key fob RFID tag is encapsulated within a molded plastic case, which is ultrasonically sealed in order to protect against adverse environmental conditions. Additionally, it is powered by a built-in battery and has an estimated life span of five years at a transmission time interval of approximately 1.5 seconds.
