5 Easy Steps To Test A Home Based Marketing Job
Unless you have been living under a rock like those guys in the well known Geico
television commercial, you are well aware of the health care crisis in the United States. It's not just about the cost of health care. It's also about the root cause of most of our collective health issues like being overweight. Wouldn't it be cool to start your own business that helped people with this challenge?
Knowing What Home Based Business Is A Fit For You
To find a side business that you can make extra money with, you first need to understand what your strengths and skills are. Then, try to match them to work opportunities that are available. For example, if you are a people person and go nuts working inside a quiet office all day, then you might be a good fit for a business opportunity involving talking to people and educating them about something you know well or believe in. The last thing you would want to do is try your hand at doing a lot of work on a computer which only makes your craving for face to face contact even stronger. In other words, play to your strengths.
How do you know if a marketing role is a good fit for you? Follow these steps and before long you will have a good idea about whether it's a good match for what you enjoy doing:
1) Try and Buy
Research different marketing opportunities. Try products and services yourself to test whether they really do what they claim. If not, move on to something else. If you try something and are not satisfied, you will have a hard time marketing to others.
2) Be A Believer
Once you find a product or service that works for you and that you can be excited about, become an evangelist. You have to go all in because if you don't someone else will and take market share away from you.
3) Self Motivate
No business where you work for yourself can be successful without self motivation. If you truly enjoy what you are doing, selfmotivation will come naturally. Set achievable, mini goals for yourself each day.
4) Educate People
Some people are turned off by the word "sales." Don't think about sales. Focus on educating people about your personal experience with a product. Use the product in public around people. Share testimonials. Does that sound like sales? No, but it is.
5) Invite Others
You don't beg people to come to a party. You simply invite them. An invitation presents someone a choice. People like options. Invite people to try your product and see for themselves if it does for them what it does for you.
