have acne is to use your fingertips and clean your face with a mild cleanser. You

must also make sure to rinse your face very well, because residue from the cleanser can

irritate acne.

The second step would be to keep your hands off your face. It is often very

tempting to try to make acne heal faster by popping, squeezing, and picking your pimples.

This does not work. All this does is spread bacteria to other parts of your face. It can

also lead to scarring, which can be even more difficult to remove than acne. You also want to

refrain from resting your chin or the side of your face on your hands, as this can

aggravate acne as well.

The third step is to avoid wearing hats and form-fitting clothes, especially

those made from synthetic fabrics. Skin that cannot breathe is more susceptible to acne

outbreaks. Also, if you have been sweating heavily, it is a good idea to change your

clothes as soon as you can. Unfortunately, this particular home remedy for acne can be difficult

for athletes who are required to wear uniforms.

The fourth step would be to watch what you eat. While it is true that there is

no conclusive evidence that foods such as french fries, chocolate bars, and nuts

cause acne, there are foods that doctors say people with acne should avoid. These foods

include seafood containing high levels of iodine and dairy foods such as milk, cream

cheese, and cottage cheese.

Finally, the fifth step would be to use over-the-counter (OTC) products with

benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is an excellent home remedy for acne because it works

by breaking up the plugs of dead skin cells, bacteria, and oil in your pores. There

are many products out there for you to try.

In short, you do not have to feel helpless against acne. There is at least one

home remedy for acne that can work for you, but keep in mind that any home remedy for acne

takes time to work. You will not get instant results. However, persistence pays off,

and a home remedy for acne you stick with is more likely to result in clearer skin.
