There are so many tourist attractions that make Vienna a great place to visit that include:

1. Beautiful Old Palaces There are many beautiful old palaces in Vienna, some of the most visited include Hofburg Imperial Palace which originally dates back to the 13th century (however, there have been many renovations and additions throughout the centuries). You can also visit Schonbrunn Palace which features Tiergarten Schonbrunn, the world's oldest zoo. Last but not least there is Belvedere Palace, a grand baroque palace that has a rich history and also has it's roots in the 17th century.

2. Over 100 Art Museums Art museums attract millions of visitors a year to Vienna with some of the most popular being the Albertina featuring over 1 million old master prints, Leopold Museum featuring one of the largest collections of Austrian art, the 19th century Naturhistorisches Museum or Museum of Natural History of Vienna and Technisches Museum Wien or Vienna Technical Museum.

Some of the most visited include Deutschordenskirche or The Church of the Teutonic Order, Karlskirche or St. Charles's Church, Peterskirche or St. Peter's Church, St. Stephen's Cathedral and Ruprechtskirche which is considered to be the oldest church in Vienna with roots going back to 796.

4. Wiener Riesenrad Ferris Wheel As featured in the 1987 James Bond Film, The Living Daylights, the Wiener Riesenrad or Viennese giant wheel is a 65 metre / 212 foot high Ferris wheel that historically dates back to 1897, making it one of the oldest Ferris wheel's in the world. It is also the only Ferris wheel in Vienna.

5. Hundertwasserhaus Apartment Building Vienna is also noted for it's examples in architecture, of all kinds. The 1980's era Hundertwasserhaus Apartment Building designed by Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser presents an interesting interpretation of architecture from this era.
