A Case For Using It Support

No one knows everything

No one knows everything. So an amateur trying to mess around with complex computer equipment and programs is a recipe for disaster. At best, absolutely nothing happens if the average person were to try and fix their computer. At worst, programs go missing, you delete important and sensitive files, or cause irreparable damage to the operating system or the hardware components. But we need to get our computers up and running again, what are we supposed to do? The best thing for you to do is hire IT support.

As a staff writer for a marketing firm in the city, I can say that we have our own computer support services we employ full time. While we have people who are experts in search engine optimization; content writers; ad experts; telemarketers; social media gurus and so on, a majority of these people are not information technologies experts. We know how to install and uninstall programs, use photoshopping software, and so on but that does not mean we know how to fix broken programs or build our own desktop PCs and provide the necessary support for them. That is what IT support is for and that is why we have several experts on staff to assist us with our computer problems when we need them. And with so many computers accessing so many things all the time, there have been occasions where our IT guys have saved us from disaster.

For example, just recently, one of our departments lost access to the internet: an entire department. Every person in the department tried to find what the problem was; they even did some basic IT solutions like rebooting their PCs and the wireless internet router but none of it worked. We had two of our computer support services guys take a look at what the problem was, and of course, got the department up and running within an hour. Had it not been for those in-house Information Technologies experts, the department would have lost an entire day of work and that would have definitely affected every other department.

We could all use some IT support every now and then, if only to ensure our computers will keep running the way we want them to. Computers are complex pieces of machinery and require an expert hand when it comes to finding both the problems and solutions. Any tinkering done to a computer by an amateur is just asking for trouble.
