Vienna was first established as a Celtic settlement in 500 BC

. By 15 BC the Roman Empire took over the settlement and the city became a frontier city to guard against hostile tribes to the north. From here Vienna starting building its future prevailing through unrest, war, and sickness. The leaders and citizens of the city have always strove for a better city making it a leader for cultural advancements and art since it became the Holy Roman Empire's capitol.
