A Coffee Blend From Countries In The Globe
Coffee used to be known as a breakfast drink
Coffee used to be known as a breakfast drink. To some, the best part of waking up is the smell of the rich aroma of coffee. However, today it is not only a breakfast drink - it is one of the most popular drinks, not only in America but in the whole world. This paved way to the bloom of many coffee shops - even open 24/7 which is a clear indication that coffee is no longer for breakfast alone but for the whole waking hours.
Have you ever visited a coffee shop? You will find an abundance of different coffee concoctions that it makes it difficult to have an immediate choice. Just looking at the names or blends will suffice to tantalize even the most selective taste bud. The next time you go to a cafe, you better get to know about each and here are some descriptions that can serve as your guide in ordering.
Cafe au Lait and Cafe Latte are the same, the former is for the French and the latter is from the Italians. This is drink made from brewed coffee with equal parts of milk and coffee. The Americano is made of a shot of espresso with an approximately 7 ounces of hot water. Cafe Brava is a shot of espresso in steamed milk while Cafe Macchiato is a coffee beverage with coffee to steamed milk ratio equal to 4:1. Cappuchino is considered one of the favorite blends. This is made of equal parts of espresso coffee and steamed and frothed milk. The flavor is enhanced with chocolate shavings or cinnamon on top of the concoction.
The Frappe is the choice during hot summer. This is like a milk shake and is prepared by mixing coffee, sugar, water and ice. In a coffee shop, this is usually served in tall glasses. And if you want to experience a high kick of caffeine, you have to go for the Hammerhead. This really is energy booster and is made of a shot of espresso plus coffee. If Frappe is to summer, then to winter we have the Irish coffee, the coffee blend with a splash of whisky and the concoction for the winter cold nights.
The Greek or Turkish coffee is a thick coffee made from finely ground coffee and water. This is served in very small cups because of its thickness. The Indian coffee is made from the dark and roasted Arabica which is brewed for several hours. The blend is made with a ratio of 3 coffee to 1 milk. From Indonesia we have Kopi Tubruk, a thick coffee made from ground coffee boiled with solid piece of sugar.
These are of course different from those we can order from Starbucks. But all the same, they give the best experience in enjoying a cup of flavorful coffee with rich aroma.
