The top two places to visit are the modern and iconic Petronas Twin Towers, which are the world's tallest twin towers, and the Golden Triangle, which is the busiest part of the city with five star hotels, gourmet restaurants, and shopping malls. In fact, it's likely that you'll be staying here, as five star hotels are surprisingly affordable in Kuala Lumpur. The city also has a number of historic buildings and museums celebrating Malaysia's diverse and enthralling history and culture. It's a thrilling, high energy Asian capital, worth exploring for a couple of days but potentially overwhelming for your entire honeymoon.
Instead, look into one of Malaysia's amazing resorts for the ultimate relaxation part of your honeymoon. Malaysia's beaches are so gorgeous that you'll hardly believe what you're looking at is real; it's as though you've stepped inside a postcard. The beaches are not only up and down the coasts but on islands in between; resorts like Pangkor Laut are virtually dreams come true.
Pangkor Lout is a privately owned island about a 45 minute boat ride from the west coast of Malaysia. The resort is located on Emerald Bay, which is widely regarded as one of the world's most beautiful beaches, and behind it spreads an exotic carpet of lush green rainforest, bursting with ancient life. The resort covers a comparatively small portion of the island, which means that much of it is left untamed; the buildings mesh perfectly with the natural environment. Other resorts may be less costly, but the gorgeous atmosphere is common to all.
