So you and your lover just broke up and you are feeling pretty desperate. You just don't know how you are going to live without them and are ready to try anything to get them back. Here are a few suggestions that may work in getting the one you love back. But, as with anything, when you use desperation sometimes it can blow up in your face. However, there are also times when desperation is needed in order to truly prove that you are so in love you deserve another chance, and get it.

Guilt is a wondrous thing. The human emotion can be manipulated and guilted into doing things that it was against before. This is proven in ongoing relationships today when one partner wants something, they use manipulation, or guilt to get it and it works. But before throwing a guilt trip on your ex, think about what would actually work and what would make them feel guilty enough to take you back.

Remember all the times you promised to do this or that or to change when you were together? Now, think about how many times you broke those promises. Now is the time to make promises and fulfill them. Promise your ex anything that you think they want to hear and then prove your love by fulfilling that promise. This shows that you are willing to change in whatever way they want to be with them.

You cannot buy love, but you can influence it. Spend a little money and shower the one you love with gifts that you know they will appreciate or on something they have wanted for a long time. It doesn't matter what it is, just don't go over your budget or you'll regret it. However, when you give them the gift, be very casual about it. Say something to the effect of "When I saw this I immediately thought of you and had to buy it". Girl's want to know you are still thinking of them and guys love an ego boost.

Jealousy is a tricky thing, so if you decide to use jealousy to your favor, you have to do it right. Immediately after breaking up and you realize how much you want them back, start dating someone else. And, make sure your ex or their friends see you, so they can report back to him or her. This will likely anger them because they are hurt you moved on so fast, and they'll confront you. That will be your chance to get sympathy, explain how you couldn't stop thinking about them and figured since they didn't want you; you had to find someone that would help stop the pain. Then let go of your ego a bit more and admit it isn't working, which will soften them up a lot.

Stalking isn't exactly recommended, because you can go to jail for that. But, you can stalk without appearing to do so by showing up at places you know they'll be. You will need to be casual and pretend you don't see them. Be prepared for accusations of following them, but also be prepared to put on the hurt feelings act at being accused of such a thing. But the fact is, the more they see you, the more you'll be on their mind and the harder it will be for them to forget you.

If you truly want your ex back, you really can't just give up and wallow in self-pity. Not everyone can get back the ex in less then a week, but it isn't impossible. The worse the break up was, the longer it may take to get back together. But with desperation and determination, you'll be able to put in your best efforts and likely see results.
