Make sure that your car is in good working condition. You should have tires that are not too worn or bald and all of your lights should work appropriately. Test your hazard lights and headlights frequently, as well as your blinkers. These are all important features on a car that help keep you safe if you need to alert someone or make a sudden lane change. Test your brake lights, too, as it is important that they are functioning properly.

Purchase a vehicle that has safety features and everything is working properly. Don't drink and drive. Keep your eyes open and pay attention to the road at all times.
