The most significant change has to be where we are spending our time, the online activities that we now use had considerably changed from three years ago. The unsurprising boost in popularity of social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter have dramatically shifted our focus on where we spend our time online. In 2007 this area only accounted for about 9% of the total number of hours we spend online this has jumped to 23%. Many internet business opportunities have been created through the use of social of networking and blogging so the rise is also in the business sector.

Following social networking the next share of the hours belongs to emailing and online gaming, which both stand at 7% of our time.
