* Nearly 75% failed to have an email link on their homepage.

* More than 65 lack a form for consumers to fill out to request information.

So why is there such a disconnection between consumer digital platform and digital marketing solution use, and what these companies are offering? Perhaps they are unaware of consumer needs and behaviors.

Lessons learned

If youre going to have a website, design it for the consumer, not for you. That doesnt mean clutter it up with everything under the sun. Do think about the consumer and what they need, the time they want to spend, and how hard theyre willing to look for things. Also take into account that its highly likely they may be on mobile devices.
