Ok, for those of us who don't already know Ikea is the world's largest furniture company. They design and sell ready-to-assemble furniture, appliances and home accessories. So, why is this important? Well because being such a large company, there is a good chance you might have some of this furniture in your home, Ikea table, chairs, nightstand or something of the sort and it might need a little retouch or customizing to bring back it's luster. Ikea tables are also unique because you can take almost any of there products and mix and match, make a table any height you want it, any style. So with that being said I want to share with you some ideas to bring the vigor back into your Ikea tables.

Ikea tables are exciting to work with, being that they are not too costly and pretty common to come by.The cool thing about these tables isthat they arevery much interchangeable. You may be able to use different parts from other tablesto make your own uniquepiece of furniture, but mixing and matching are only the tip of the ice burg if you are interested in customizing your own table.I have noticed people adding their own paint, decoration and modifying angles and cuts creating their own style and custom table. Everything from wall decals like flowers and stencil have been used to complement Ikea tables. Some people really like playing chess so they might paint the chessboard on the table and choose to play like that. A quick and easy modification is to saw the Ikea table in half and use it as a corner piece for some plants or maybe a lamp of some sort. I've seen Ikea tables revised to fit turntables and a mixer and used as a DJ set up.

So instead of throwing out those old and faded living room tables put your imagination to use. Throw some paint around, maybe come up with a cool design.
