We are predicting a fantastic year for tourism for the country that has it all, so in preparation for this, heres a compilation of our top five favourite cities in Germany:
.Berlin With this choice there is absolutely no hesitation. No matter which way you look at things Berlin has to be regarded as the best city in Germany hands down. It truly does have everything you could ever wish for. If taking in the sights of the Berlin wall and soaking up the history of WW2, the list of other things to do is never-ending. Food, drink, shopping, museums, art galleries. Berlin really does have it all. It is a fantastic place to visit for people of all ages; with the youngsters enjoying the unbelievable night life and the oldies hitting up the history like there is no tomorrow.
.Frankfurt Situated right in the centre of the country and boasting a huge international airport, Frankfurt is, for many people, regarded as the first port of call on a trip around Germany. Like many German cities, Frankfurt is incredibly affluent which is evident when you take in its incredibly tall skyline. Similar to Berlin, the river Main runs through the centre of the city adding to its beautiful appearance.
.Hannover This is your typical German city, steeped with history and decorated with unbelievable architecture. This is also a city that played a huge part in WW2 so if you are interested in the history of it make sure you pay it a visit.
.Munich This is a city that is famous the world over and is often mistaken to be Germanys capital. By far and away the best time to visit is during Oktoberfest - a huge celebration of lederhosen and beer.
.Hamburg Surprisingly Germanys second largest city behind the capital, Berlin. Situated in the north of the country, this is a city that is less frequently visited. It is a historic harbour town full of industrial history. Like Berlin, Hamburg also boasts an incredible nightlife which draws crowds from all over the world.
