A Reason To Watch Death At A Funeral

In 2007 the British film Death at a Funeral was released

. Later in 2010 an American version of this popular film was released. If you enjoy a good laugh and are looking to see a new comedic film then this is a great choice for you. In order to determine if it is the right fit for you there are some facts that you should know.

Both versions of the film focus on a family that is working through a number of different personal issues during the fathers funeral. There are two brothers who are the main characters in Death at a Funeral. In both versions of the film the brothers are basically arguing about the expenses of having to bury their father.

In the British version the brother who has less money has been saving to buy a flat and is quite upset that his other brother would rather have frivolous things like first class airfare then helping to bury their father.

Essentially the film has some crazy twists and turns that make it very entertaining and enjoyable. Some of these include that several different people get does with a hallucinogenic drug instead of the Valium that they think that they are being given. Then there is a dwarf who has come to threaten the family for money as he was the fathers lover.

The two brothers try to avoid this and give him the drug that causes hallucinations as well since they think that it is really Valium. The dwarf goes crazy, jumping on a couch, falling and hitting his head on a coffee table. When they think that he is dead they put him in the casket with their dead father. This is one of the zany things that makes Death at a Funeral so funny.

Death at a Funeral, the American version, is pretty much the same plot line except for the fact that the poor brother has children. Both films share the same wacky comedy and highlight the same amount of drama.

Both films are known to be hilarious and have popular actors from both countries starring in the roles. The British film stars Matthew Macfadyen and Rupert Graves and the American version stars Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock.

Everyone who enjoys a good laugh will enjoy this movie. Plus the entire fact that they bring to light that other side of your family makes them that much more enjoyable. You can laugh because you know that the characters are so much like those other relatives from your family too.

The movie Death at a Funeral has been popular in both countries as it has so many funny comedic elements. Nearly everyone will enjoy at least one version of this film. It is a great alternative to an expensive date night too as you can rent it and enjoy it from the privacy of your own home.
