A Respectable Man who Loves Tiffany
I am in a sense a critical person and see almost everything with a critical eye
. Sometimes, people may praise me for my courage to challenge against the authority. While sometimes, they may also criticize me, saying that I am so particular about others. Though I know it is not good to be so critical, I just can't change my habit.The first time I saw my senior high math teacher, Mr. Black, I felt that he was a man who had a strong personality. At that time, he was wearing the common T-shirt and jeans and appeared like a college student, who seemed to know no more than us. Maybe, what made me impressed on him was the Tiffany man's watch he wore, which was of good design and high quality. It was not until that he brought us into the knowledge world that I finally realized that my previous judgment about him was completely right.

It seemed that he has changed into another person when he gave us lessons. He was able to solve the most difficult problems with simple methods. And what impressed me most was his ability to apply the knowledge he taught us in the class to the real world and he used to tell us what was happening in the outside world so as to keep us informed of the latest world situation. From him, I have learned not only the knowledge I was supposed to learn but also the importance of paying attention to the world besides our textbooks.
Besides his splendid way of teaching, another thing that makes him respectable is his infinite patience. Though, in my opinion he had done quite a good job explaining the tough math problems to us, there were always some students who were not able to understand the solving methods. But whenever he was asked such questions, which appeared foolish, he would answer the students questions patiently, without any complaint.
In addition, he is also a man who lays special emphasis in the importance of being punctual, and that's why I saw him watching time from that expensive and delicate Tiffany men's watch from time to time. And this results in my paying special attention to the brand of Tiffany.
So it was quite a sad time when I graduated from the senior high, which meant that there was seldom any chance for me to attend his class. Though years have passed, I can still remember his passionate way of speaking and his attentive way of listening. And he is no doubt the most respectable teacher I have ever met.
