A Short Guide to Menorca and Majorca

MENORCA

The smaller of the two islands, hence the name, Menorca (aka Minorca) has many family and couple friendly resorts and almost as many beaches as both Ibiza and Majorca combined. Among those popular resorts are Cala'N Bosch, Santo Tomas, Ciutadella, and Cala Galdana. Each offers something a little different, but are all family-focused and perfect for enjoying a relaxing holiday.

Menorca's capital is Mahon, its largest town, which has around 20,000 residents and offers up a host of great restaurants and cafes near its harbour.

MAJORCA

Majorca is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe, with many Brits and Germans flocking to its shores. While Menorca may be more suited to the quieter life, as opposed to a lively social scene, Majorca offers the best of both. Resorts like Magaluf and Palma Nova are particularly lively, with busy bars and clubs attracting the 18-30 crowd. Other resorts like Alcudia, Cala d'Or and Puerto De Soller are more beach focused, with stunning golden sands, but they also have enough bars and restaurants to attract many tourists.

Both islands have a tremendous amount to offer - whether you're looking for a quiet week, reading a book by a pool, or sunning yourself by day and partying by night.
