The first stage in the production of tea is the harvesting stage in which tea plant is plucked. Only the top two leaves and the bud of the tea plant is hand-picked. Afterwards, the tea leaves are placed out on long trays in hot temperatures so that they lose over half of their moisture content. This stage is known as withering stage. Then the rolling stage comes in which the withered tea leaves are rolled by the machine to make the leaves release their oil and juices. In the next stage, these leaves are left out in open for a number of hours so that they absorb oxygen present in the air which brings about a change in their characteristics of taste and color. Sometimes, this stage is referred to as fermentation or oxidization. After the oxidization stage, the leaves are dried with the help of a dryer. These dried leaves are then sorted out and tested on various parameters, especially taste, color, fragrance, etc.

The production method of the tea determines the type of tea. The four different types of tea are black, green, oolong and white tea. Your personal preferences and taste decides the type of tea you want to drink. If you prefer a very light tea having low caffeine and a mild flavor, then you must try drinking oolong tea or white tea. However, if you enjoy a rich taste and aroma with herbal properties, then you will lean towards purchasing green tea. If you have a preference for a darker and healthier brew, then you can try tasting black tea.

Whichever tea type you select, and go for purchase, you must see to it that the tea exporter from whom you are making a purchase provides fresh tea. You yourself must check that the tea is fresh and the tea leaves are almost of the same size and full of aroma. You must never buy tea that appears to be dull. The tea exporter India must sell the tea leaves which look polished and their must not be any stalks or twigs in the tea. Then, only you can enjoy a totally delicious and perfumed cup of healthy tea.
