A brief history on the study of Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has always been historically utilized for medical and naturopathic purposes
. Going back even in very early Phoenician history, their ancient literatures speak of their doctors using the leaves of the Aloe plant to treat wounds and many other conditions of the skin. Up to the present day, it is still being used in hospitals to treat burn victims and wounds. You can see that most of the products they use in hospitals contain aloe vera as its main ingredient. The Aloe has been researched thoroughly and because of this, arise certain controversy regarding it efficacy. Scientist has attempted before to extract and discover certain nutritional elements that they thought to have been existent in the Aloe leaf. Nutritional agents like alkaloids, fatty acids, terpenoid substances, apponins and glycoproteins that are known agents of healing and the body's recuperation. But the answer still eluded them because they knew that Aloe works but what bothered the early scientists of old is they can't pinpoint what was really causing the healing within the Aloe extract. One thing is for sure in a technical perspective, the Aloe must have anti bacterial properties for it to be able to help heal skin problems and even digestive issues as well. And one thing the Aloe Vera has been famous for is in the treatment of the scalp where people have found it effective in treating early hair loss. Their studies have shown that it controls the overproduction of the substance that moisturizes the scalp but when it becomes overly productive, it can cause and lead to the scalp to be irritated and new hair is not produced anymore. Aloe's anti bacterial properties help prevent this and clean those blocked pores to help grow new hair. The fame of the aloe is greater today that a organization called the IASC or International Aloe Science Council had to be put up to control the ever growing number of companies producing their so called aloe product and not just any one can make a lotion and stamp a aloe picture on it and claim its natural aloe vera.Indeed, the aloe has reached a long way and will continue to benefit humans as we reap its splendid healing properties in to the future.
