Meg Griffin is the elder sister of Chris and Stewie born to Peter and Lois Griffin. She is born and brought up in the fictional town of Quahog in Rhode Island. If you watch Family Guy online, you will find that she desperately wants to be a part of the cool crowd' while attending James Woods High School.

At the inception of the series in 1999, Meg was 15 years old. She turned 16 in the episode I Never Met the Dead Man.' This age continued for several episodes and then she was officially declared as 17 in the episode, Peter's Two Dads'.

Initially, Meg appeared as a sweet daughter who used to take others' blames on herself. But later she was portrayed as a frantic teenager who was always in need of being in the limelight. If you watch Family Guy, you will note that her family rarely ever noticed her. In fact she is not at all liked by her family members and in several episodes her father, mother or brother is seen behaving in a dismissive and cruel way towards her.

Her looks are the most important reason for people developing an instant aversion towards her. Her body lacks curves and she always wears a beanie like hat, which is termed as hideous skullcap' by Stewie. Most of the people think that she is flat and misshapen. She wears specs and it seems that she has inherited myopia and brown hair from her father. On the contrary, her nose curvature and shape of the head have been inherited from her mother. Her height is just 4 feet 11 inches and she weighs around 140 pounds. In Family Guy episodes, her weight is the same as her mother.

Even in an episode in which she had a makeover, her looks have been considered horrible as two people put themselves on fire after seeing her. But due to her changed looks in the same episode, she looses her virginity to Jimmy Fallon. Most of the time she craves for having a boyfriend, but nobody wants to date with her.

If you watch Family Guy episodes online frequently, you must remember an episode called Peter's daughter'. In this episode, Meg falls in love with Michael Milano, a med student who has just recovered from coma. She pretends to be pregnant with Michael's child and Michael is forced to marry her. But as they reach the altar, Michael comes to know that she is not pregnant and dumps her.

Meg is known for her dangerous behavior too. She is portrayed as extremely emotional and disturbed at certain times. At such times she talks of committing suicide or cutting herself.

Fans who love to watch Family Guy do not regard Meg as a likeable person, but tend to show sympathy towards her.
