What Are The Different Types Of Fat Burning Exercise?

Fat burning exercise falls into 2 broad categories - aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise is sometimes called cardio vascular exercise. It requires oxygen for energy; anaerobic does not. When you do aerobic exercise, your body burns fat for the energy it needs. When you do anaerobic exercise, your body does not burn fat for the energy it needs. It uses carbohydrates for energy.

Some examples of aerobic exercise are jogging, brisk walking, swimming and bike riding. Examples of anaerobic exercise are strength and resistance training or running a 100 meter or 200 meter race etc. A sports activity can be both aerobic and anaerobic. Some of the time you can be running at full tilt. At those times it is anaerobic. At other times you are exerting yourself less so, and it is aerobic.

For best fat burning results from aerobic exercise, you should do at least 30 minutes of it every day. To burn more fat more quickly, you can do 45 minutes at a time or 30 minutes twice during the day. Anaerobic exercise provides efficient fat burning , because it increases your muscle mass. More muscle mass means a higher metabolic rate. With a higher metabolic rate, you burn more fat throughout the day, when you are not exercising. However, you will not burn fat while doing anaerobic exercise. You will burn fat while doing aerobic exercise.

It's time to realize that fat burning exercise is a necessity, not an option. You will never successfully achieve your weight management and fat-burning goals if you do not. It needs to be a lifelong endeavor and it requires a mindset change to use your body much more. You can make a start by using the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator. You can park a little farther away in the parking lot and walk to the entrance. You can take your dog for an extra walk each day. Look for things to do, that you don't normally do, in order to increase your metabolism. Then decide upon your fat burning exercise regimen and begin it.
