Activities You Can Do With Your Child Near Child Care Centers In Orchard Road

1. Open House at Istana

The Istana is the official residence of the President of the Republic of Singapore. It occupies over 40 hectares of land along Orchard Road. It is a precious and important part of Singapores history and heritage, and has borne witness to Singapores many historical milestones. The Istana ground is open to the public five times a year in celebration of Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Hari Raya Puasa, Labor Day, and National Day. Admission to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. Other visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person. Entrance to the grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road. Opening hours are usually from 8:30am to 6:00pm. This is a great opportunity to expose and teach your child about history and spend time with him or her after picking him or her up from his or her Child Care Schoolat orchard road.

2. Earth Hour

You can head down to Orchard Road on Saturday, 31 March 2012 with your friends and family to celebrate Earth Hour with the rest of the global community. Join in the festivities near your child care centers in orchard road with a live concert and eco-carnival. Witness the first 60+ Singapore human formation and count down to the lights-off event at 8:30pm.

3. Eggstra Easter Special at The Marmalade Pantry

Popular for its extensive weekend brunch menu, this flagship bistro located in Ion Orchard near Childcare Preschoolcenters in Orchard Road opened in 2009. And on April 8, register your kids for this special Easter egg hunt which will be held from 4pm 5pm. The event will include buffet, goodie bags, balloon sculpting and face-painting.

4. Photography at Istana Park

Take pretty pictures of trees, palms and shrubs with your child at the Istana Park after picking him or her up from his or her child care in orchard road. The park offers a number of unique features not found in other parks on the island. There are also other organized activities and events at Istana Park such as Line Dance, Band Performances and Yoga. This is a great way to spend time with your child and at the same time expose and teach him or her about nature. Lighted hours are at 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
