You decide to contact them, and all you find is a contact form. You can't wait til tomorrow to find out. You need to know now. You have to leave in 10 minutes, and you need to order the shoes.

So you decide to head over to another website that does show size 9-1/2 in stock and make your purchase.

All right, maybe you didn't have size 9-1/2 in stock. But what if you did. What if you just received them today and didn't have time to add them to your website.

But it doesn't matter, because your customer is gone. No way to say come back. You flat out lost the sale. It's over!

This is a realistic scenario. It happens all the time. You may not sell shoes, but you get the idea.
