To apply Advantage flea control, the applicator tip should be placed on the pet's skin level. For best results on cats, apply Advantage over the nape of the neck. On dogs under 20 lbs, the medication should be applied to the skin on the back, between the shoulder blades. For dogs weighing more, the entire content of one tube should be applied on 3 to 4 spots along the skin between the shoulder and the tail.

Advantage should be stored in a cool and dry place. Do not keep this medication in the refrigerator. The empty container must not be reused. The empty container must be ideally wrapped in a cloth or bag before placing it in trash. If the container is filled partly, it is advisable to call a local solid waste agency to avoid contamination. As Advantage flea control may have adverse reactions on both pets and humans keep it out of the reach of your pets and children.

The product must not come in contact with the pet's mouth or eyes. If it does, wash with soap and plenty of water. Individual sensitivities, although a rarity, may occur on using the product. If signs persist or worsen, consult your veterinarian. Call a poison control center immediately if the medication is swallowed by your pet, or in case of an overdose. Moreover, you must talk to your vet if your pet is on another medication or is undergoing treatment with another pesticide. Usage of Advantage on pregnant, nursing, aged or debilitated pets must also be confirmed with a vet.
