Advice On Caring For Your Plants.

You have recently moved into a new home & brought in some new plants to liven-up the Balcony / window.

But within few days of your arrival, the pants appear to wither away & before you know start to wilt & die. You are worried, grief stricken & swear you will never bring in another plant to kill.

But wait. Why not give a thought as to WHY this has happened. Better yet, take corrective steps to have beautiful (albeit small) garden on your Balcony / window?

Plants just like humans are sensitive to its surroundings, people & nutrition. Not all plants require a similar amount of water, the same fertilizer & wait for it the same amount of Sun!

Yes, the Sun. One may think, plants respond well when placed under the sun. Well, this is not entirely correct. Though plants will respond well (well, most of them anyways) to the rising sun. The rising sun is mild, has the best unadulterated rays which are low on ultraviolet & do not scorch.

However, once the sun begins to rise in the sky, the intensity of the rays increases too. This intensity is harmful the plants & cause the leaves to burn. Commonly, it can be witnessed as dark spots, uneven coloring of the leaves & rapid wilting of the leaves.

Now you are in a dilemma as to what to do. You definitely need to keep the plants in the Sun & yet need to prevent them from getting scorched. You certainly cant keep moving them from room to room. Neither can you use artificial lighting. The only solution is to regulate the light being shed on the plants. Well, how do you do that? The answer is simple you light-colored blinds.
