Many people involved in internet marketing choose to focus their blog in the internet marketing niche which is highly saturated. On the other hand, there are many sub-niches that are quite profitable where it will be easier to make a name for yourself. Bloggers can focus in ares like: article marketing, search engine optimization or private label rights, just to give a few examples. These niches have people who are always searching for information and are spending money.

These two things combined make having an internet marketing blog a good idea for many people, but it's not the right route for everyone. There and other niches which might be a better option for you. Perhaps you are a new mom and you realize the weight loss difficulties many women have following child birth. You could start a blog focusing on this one topic. You know that people are seeking out this information and that they are willing to spend money to find a solution. It is also a lot less saturated than the crowded, general weight loss niche.

You'll really want to dig deep with some keyword and market research to find out if there are products you can be an affiliate for within your selected niche. It's critical that you don't skip this research part. It will dramatically limit your success.
