Change is inevitable in the fashion industry. Fashion styles come and go and sometimes come back again. If someone wants to have the latest in fashion, it can be quit a costly hobby. Western wear is a fashion style that has lasted for years and will continue to last.

A lot of styles branch off of the western wear. They have branched off of western wear things like cowboy hats, western shirts, leather boots, and boot cut jeans. Western wear is a universal style because young, old, male, or female can wear it.

A western shirt that is very popular is the flannel shirt. At one time only farmers and ranchers wore flannel shirts, but now it is worn by one and all. It must be because flannel shirts are comfortable, warm, and durable. Flannel shirts also have the appeal of making men look masculine, mysterious, and rugged.

Although western clothing might seem very masculine, it can be quite feminine too. One example is the classic western shirt. Women wear the same pattern or style of western shirts that men do, but it is made feminine through its fabric. Most western women shirts have the princess seam. Another way is by using a floral pattern or a pastel fabric.

Another western wear shirt is the peasant top. This is strictly just for women. The shirt has a tight fitted body with slightly flared sleeves. The peasant top can be casual with jeans or dressed up with a skirt and boots.

Another example of western styled fashion is boots. Originally laced up boots were used in the 1940's and 50's for horseback riding and ranching. Even though they had a practical use, boots were also a fashion statement.

Cowboy hats have followed the role of boots in becoming a fashion accessory. The cowboy hat was originally worn to protect its wearer from the sun, wind, rain, snow, heat, and cold. Cowboy hats still keep out the weather, but they are now worn for just looking cute or tough.

From boot-cut jeans to big buckled belts, western clothing is universal and long lasting. Western clothing is for the young, old, man, or woman. It is always in stock, in style, and for every occasion. It is a great way to be in style and up to date with fashion without having to buy a new wardrobe every so often.
