Aksel Bratvedt has a MSc. Degree in Physics from Norwegian Institute of Technology. He even did a thesis on finding probabilities of cost overruns. He did development of the Statfjord fields for the company named "Norwegian Oil Company Statoil". Aksel evens achieved a MBA degree in the field of finance from the University of California in Los Angeles.
Aksel Bratvedt firstly put his hands in investment banking and began his career with it. His first job was as the Manager in department of shipping at Bergen Bank in Oslo. He was basically managing the finance of ships as well as oil rigs. Then in eighties he boosted his career with post of an executive in Hambros Bank in London where he sold services of his bank to various Norwegian Clients.He gained great experience through his job in Hambros bank as his interaction with various clients made him acquire knowledge about various investment banking schemes and ideas.
Finally, Aksel Bratvedt founded Elcon Securities with some partners. This step completely molded his career as he was the first person to open an investment bank in Norway. Most people know him as a property financer or a successful ship financer but he even made a great contribution in the field of defense during the battles in Norwegian history. He spent over 6 years in the field of corporate finance.
For eleven years, Aksel Bratvedt was even involved in organizational consulting and planning for CEO's in various Swedish and Finnish MNC's. He was engaged with Ericsson in the development of 3G strategies. Over last few years Aksel Bratvedt is perfectly fulfilling his duties as CEO and Chairman of his company and working hard for its development.
