All About The Timex Ironman

Timex Ironman is a digital wrist watch, first manufactured by Timex in 1986

. The watch was made when Timex started working with the officials of Triathlon Ironman in 1984 to develop a digital watch in order to increase a sale within the company. Then in 1986, Timex received the rights to the Ironman name and developed the Ironman Triathlon based on the watch made in 1984.

The characteristics and features of the watch were same as Triathlon, except the fact that t Ironman Triathlon was water resistant and had an updated look with black, grey and orange color. After a couple of years, the watch also came out in a sporty silver/stainless style look with a lot more additional features like stopwatch, timer, occasion alarm and many others. With a due passage of time, this sporty look watch became popular among people, especially the ones who needed a "workshore" watch.

Timex ironman watch is fast, simple and user friendly for all. Even children and electronically challenged people can use this watch.

Set the analog time: The Timex ironman watch shows time in digital and analog formats. To set the analog time on this watch, all you need to do is to first locate the "crown" button on the right hand side of the watch. Then draw the crown out and twist it to set the hour and minutes to the correct time. Once you finish, push the crown back in to its original position.

Set the digital time: When setting the digital time on Timex ironman all you need to do is to press and hold the set button for two seconds. Then use the advance button to set the correct hour on the watch, and to set the minutes on the watch, press mode button. Continue pressing the advance and mode button to set the month, date, year and day. Once you finish doing so, press the set button to save the changes.

Set an alarm: You can also set an alarm on your Timex ironman watch to either wake you or remind you of an important event. To set an alarm press and hold the mode button unless the alarm screen appears. Once the alarm screen appears, press the set button to fix the hour for an alarm. When your alarm rings, press any button on the watch to deactivate the alarm.

Use the chronograph: The chronograph is a feature of the Timex ironman that enables you to time athletic performances or events. To use this feature, press and hold on the mode button unless and until the chronograph lap appears on the screen. Once it appears on the watch, press the advance button to start the timing in a lap, and when you want to stop the timing press the set button. On the other hand, to start the timing in a split, press the advance button and to stop it, press the set button. To pause the timing, press the advance.

Use the countdown timer: This feature on the watch allows you to highlight important events. To set the countdown timer, press the mode button. Press and hold it on until the screen comes up. Then press the set button to rearrange the time to "oo" and press the advance button to set the minutes and seconds to the timer. Once you are done, press the advance button to save the timer. Then to start the timing press the advance button and to stop the timing, press the set button.
